CHACO is an Argentinian Independent Publishing House that Believes in the Photobook as an Art Expression Itself. We believe in the Book as a living and imperfect object and most of all in the power of images.

CHACO understands book making as a creative journey to be undertaken with the artists,  reinterpreting and translating their work into a new expressive medium.

CHACO is mostly interested in projects that address social and political issues in their many ways of manifestation.

CHACO is a province in Argentina, deeply rooted in ancient aboriginal traditions. Its capital is called “Resistencia”. Within provincial boundaries lies an area called “Pampa del infierno" ("Pampa of Hell”) and a widespread dense forest called “El Impenetrable”.

CHACO is based in Madrid and Buenos Aires, building a bridge between Europe and South America.
